Job Transition

Earlier today, this was my business card.

Now, I’m just plain ‘ol William M. Ruhsam, Jr., PE, PTOE

Or, if you prefer, I have a more playful one.

Unfortunately, due to the business climate around here, and to a couple of just-plain-bad-luck items, Greenhorne & O’Mara shut down the transportation and environmental group here in Atlanta. I am now looking for other employment.

I have confidence that I’ll land on my feet. Not to blow my horn too loudly, but I believe that I’m a marketable person with a strong skill set. I’m both an experienced traffic engineer and a project manager who knows enough roadway design to direct a project team. If you’re interested, contact me and I will send you a resumé.

Good things can come of changes in direction. Here’s to hoping that this is one of those times!

Good luck! You’ll do great. Please let me know if I can help in any way at all.

And now you can catch up if you’re behind on your Ironman training too. 🙂

Best of luck with the job hunting Bill…hope it does not take long at all and you find something great. Its been a bad year jobwise for friends of mine being laid off, both where I work and elsewhere and I’m sorry to hear that such a fate has struck you as well.

Sorry to hear that you lost your job. I have been a fairly regular reader of both this site and your Talking Traffic blog. I hope that the stimulus will increase traffic engineering opportunities for you in Georgia, as things are starting to pick up in traffic engineering here in Minnesota. Not sure whether you are interesting in relocating, but I would be happy to keep an eye (or even an “evil eyebrow”) open for opportunities for you up this way. Best of luck!
